One postdoctoral position is open in Dr. Chagin laboratory located in the heart of the Karolinska Institutet campus, Stockholm Sweden. Karolinska Institutet (KI) ranks as one of the world’s leading medical universities, thanks in part to the quality of its research activities, which today account for 40 per cent of all medical research in Sweden. In addition, KI annually awards the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
The project aimed at finding new mechanisms governing growth and functioning of the skeleton particularly exploring the role of mTOR-autophagy pathway in the regulation of cell size and cell survival in disorders of growth and osteoarthritis. More information can be found at http://ki.se/research/andreichagin. To address our questions we are utilizing state of the art gene-modified animal models and unique human material. Experience in the bone, cartilage or animal research is a plus. Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. degree obtained not more than 3 years ago, with demonstrated expertise in cellular and molecular studies.
