Two post-doctoral research fellow positions are available to focus on several cutting-edge projects including the role of long-non coding RNA, piwi RNA, snoRNA, epigenetic regulation, extracellular vesicles and membranous proteins in the pathogenesis of sepsis and lung inflammation. Applicants must have extensive knowledge and experience in molecular biology and biochemistry, have various lab techniques and are familiar to animal (mouse) work and cell culture (including primary cells). Experience on exosomes, non-coding RNAs and /or C. Elegans will be a plus. Applicants should have or anticipate to have a PhD in related field with relevant experience. Freshly graduated PhDs are welcome to apply. Candidates should have LESS than 2 years’ post-doc experience and will be expected to take the lead role in his/her projects, to publish manuscripts as the first author, and to present his/her projects and data at lab meetings, as well as international meetings. A high level of self-motivation and participation in a collaborative team is required. Preference will be given to those with a strong publication record. Applicants MUST have published at least one first-author publication in a journal with impact factor more than 3.5. The positions will remain open until filled. Our lab also focuses on helping fellows to develop their own career path to ensure that they are competitive for next step of jobs after finishing the term as a post-doc fellow.
