Postdoctoral Research Associate

Two postdoctoral associate positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Supriya G. Prasanth in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.

Project Description: Position 1: The work will focus on how DNA replication is coordinated with cell cycle progression and heterochromatin organization. Much of this work will involve understanding how chromatin-associated proteins function in concert to regulate genome stability in human cells (Wang et al., NAR 2017; Giri et al., eLife 2015; Chakraborty et al., Nature Communications 2014).

Position 2: The work will focus on understanding how BEN-domain containing proteins regulate transcription repression, chromatin organization and differentiation (Khan et al.,PNAS (USA) 2015).

Qualifications: Applicants with background in: Chromatin Biology, Epigenetics,Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology and Cell Biology are encouraged to apply.

You must have a PhD from an accredited institution, a solid publication record, efficient time management skills and a strong work ethic.
