Are you the Postdoc that will investigate how beta-cells can be generated from human pluripotent stem cells for translation to the clinic? As Postdoc in the Islet Lab in the Department of Nephrology, you will set up a human iPSC culture and a differentiation protocol toward functional beta-cell fate. Together with partners from the RegMedxB consortium, you will contribute to bring this protocol to clinical applicability for patients with Type 1 Diabetes. In addition, you will be involved in the isolation of human pancreatic islets suitable for beta-cell or for use in research.
The profile
You are an enthusiastic, very flexible team worker who:
• holds a PhD
• is highly skilled in the culture and differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells
• has experience with beta-cell differentiation protocols
• can also work independently
