The School of Clinical Medicine

The School of Clinical Medicine has a strong focus on the delivery of both phases of the Medicine program across a number of sites within the Brisbane metropolitan area, including but not limited to, the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, Herston; the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Woolloongabba; the Prince Charles Hospital, Chermside, and the St Lucia Campus. Leadership at each site is provided by an experienced academic with responsibility for budget and financial matters, human resource matters and facility management. The School consists of academic staff members across all clinical disciplines and more than 2500 academic title holders.  

The role

This position contributes to electrical / electronic engineering projects within the ICETLAB and Critical Care Research Group (CCRG), based at The Prince Charles Hospital. You will prepare and submit manuscripts, grant applications and conference presentations and contribute to research input/output by assisting with publishing in high quality outlets.

The person

Applicants should possess a PhD (or be awaiting conferral) in the area of electrical or electronic engineering or closely related field. You will also be able to show strong evidence of a contribution to research through publication in international journals and presentation at international conferences. 

Remuneration

This is a full-time, fixed term appointment (1.0 FTE), for 2 years at Research Academic Level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $64,533.30 - $87,535.13 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $75,504.20 - $102,416.10 p.a.).
