Postdocs also benefit from living and working in one of the world’s greatest scientific, cultural and cosmopolitan capital.

PROJECT SUMMARY

The Tumour Cell Biology laboratory led by Dr Sahai focuses on understanding how the interplay between cancer cells and their microenvironment impacts upon invasion into the surrounding tissue and therapeutic responses. Dr Sahai is seeking a talented and motivated postdoc to pursue a multi-disciplinary project investigating the biophysical characteristics of the tumour-stroma boundary and its stability to perturbation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

These include but not limited to;
• Investigating research questions and developing specific research project(s) into the physics of tumour-stroma boundaries under guidance from Dr Sahai
• Providing specialist advice and guidance, sharing knowledge and expertise of biophysics, computational approaches for the benefit of others
• Providing significant contribution to the production of research papers for publication, presenting findings to group members and other internal audiences
• Presenting work externally at international meetings
• Authoring papers under guidance from Dr Sahai
• Following Postdoctoral Training programme
• Developing academic independence and managing collaborations
