Cardiac Electrophysiology: patch-clamping, sharp microelectrodes of isolated hearts and tissues, optical mapping. Our studies involve rodent models of disease and exercise. Our studies also involve atrial/ventricular/pacemaker tissues/cardiomyocytes derived from human pluriopotent stem cells. We also perform extensive imagining of cells and tissues using resonance scanning as well as simultaneous patch-clamp fluorescence imagining. We also have a Nanion Patchliner for high throughput patch-clamp recordings. Toronto is a wonderful, exciting place to live and work. We pay competitive salaries and will cover moving expenses.
