Researchers are sought to work on an exciting collaborative research project to work on power systems protection and control of power grids using real-time power grid simulator.

Candidates for the post should have:

A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant experience in FACTS and HVDC modelling using real-time power grid simulator.
Relevant experience in developing testing bed for power systems including power system control, power electronic devices, and interacting with the power industry partner.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.
Good project management skills.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal with a variety of people at different levels.

The successful candidate should hold, or be near completion of a PhD in Electrical Power Systems. The post is available for an immediate start until the end of Feb 2017.
