The Senior Research Technologist will work under the direction of the Scientific Manager in the Pluripotent Stem Cell (hPSC) Core Facility in the Department of Hematology at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Facility will use NIH-approved hES and iPS cell lines to model normal hematopoiesis and related blood diseases, including leukemia. Services and expertise include maintaining current PSC cell lines, creating new ones from patients by cellular reprogramming, manipulating PSC cell genomes via DNA editing methods and differentiating PSCs into blood lineages.(MJP)
Job Qualifications:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field and three (3) years (post-degree) of relevant and productive work experience is required.
OR
A Master's degree in an appropriate scientific field and two (2) years (post-degree) of relevant and productive work experience is required.
OR
A Ph.D. in an appropriate scientific field with no additional experience is required.
