Aims of the project:

Revealing the role of visual perception, anticipation and selective attention in carrying out different types of walking activities in different physical environment conditions, at different levels of physiological pressure, carrying out simultaneous perception and cognitive tasks in individuals with different types of sensomotoric deficits. Experimental research using the methodology of anthropomotorics, neuropsychology and physiology of body burden. To obtain knowledge of primary research in order to create and correct strategies of remedies and physical training for children.



Job description of the postdoc within the existing team:

Experimental work including the analysis of kinetic and physiological characteristics of walking in children with normal motorics and children with developmental disorders of motorics with manipulation of such experimental factors as the type and intensity of walking, physical qualities of the environment, controlled limitations of visual perception and anticipation, degree of physical burden and using the paradigm of double tasks. The activities of the postdoc will enable widening the work of the existing team and creating conditions for a more complex and multidisciplinary approach to the point at issue.



Starting date:

Expected beginning of employment: October 2014. The position will be fixed-term ending on April 30, 2015.



Who can apply?

Fellowships are open to the young scientists who finished their Ph.D. studies in an appropriate field after March 28, 2008. Excellent level of English language, ability to work concurrently on more projects, and ability to prioritize tasks are expected.



Award:

The fellowship will provide a salary starting at 38,000 CZK (equals to 1,500 €) monthly.
