Salary: Research Associate £28,132 - £29,837, with progression to £36,661

Applications are sought for a post-doctoral research associate to perform electrophysiological recording in vivo in awake, behaving non-human primates. Experiments will explore the use of closed-loop optogenetic stimulation to perturb network dynamics and manipulate cortical oscillations.

You will have a PhD and a strong academic background in systems neuroscience or a related field. Experience of in vivo electrophysiology, the motor system, epilepsy and/or neuronal oscillations is desirable.

The candidate will work independently and as part of a team, collecting and analysing data, communicating research and preparing papers, and will have a track record of peer-reviewed journal publications. Programming abilities, mathematical skills and/or electronics experience are desirable.

This post is tenable for 3 years.
