Applications are now accepted for a NIH-funded post-doctoral position in the laboratory of Dr. Park-Min at Hospital for Special Surgery, Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City.
The current projects focus on the negative regulation of osteoclastogenesis by inflammatory signals. We are currently identifying novel players and regulatory mechanisms of osteoclastogenesis and bone metabolism in the physiological and pathological settings in the field of osteoimmunology.
We are seeking highly motivated candidates with 2 to 3 years of experience in bone and molecular biology. Candidates should hold a Ph. D degree in molecular and cellular biology, immunology, bone biology or related fields. The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative lab environment and will have access to an extensive number of core facilities and bioinformatic support.
Significant experiences with the following techniques are preferred:
Cell culture, histology, molecular cloning, mutagenesis, Southern blotting, RNA analysis, Chromatin/protein immunoprecipitation, EMSA and manipulating genetic mutant mice.
